Design it yourself

Do you fancy an outfit which you can design yourself? Try www.styleshake.com where you select from different choices to create the dress of your choice.
I have had a go at designing a dress on their site and it has it's limitations. There are a limited amount of choices for design and fabric and the method they have used to construct means that if you change certain things half way through you have to start again.
You can however, have fun designing your own dress and the limited choices and easy to read page make it simple for any novice.
I am yet to see a finished made dress in real life. It would be great to hear from anyone who has made the plunge and ordered one.
Happy designing!

Elle Does It Well

Elle Collections is in their second edition and I love it.
It's great for all those fashion students out there who want to buy those catwalk magazines but can't afford it (when they're fifty quid a pop!). For only a fiver you get loads of great pictures and that's what we want.
I love the different ways they divide the images. You get colour ways for the season, a catwalk city catagory and diffrerent looks and styles catagories as well.
Adverts are kept to a minimum which means you can concentrate on the fashion .

Happy flicking.

For lovers of fashion you can't beat a look into history for inspiration. The Museum of Costume in Bath have two interesting exhibitions on at the moment. The Nureyev Style ends on the 11th of Feb '07 and displays the ballet costumes and textiles.
The Pocket Exhibition ends on the 2nd of Sep '07, showing a wide display of historical pockets.
