Warning: Next season could go badly wrong!

This autumn we will be hell for leather, Sci-fi in shiny and wetlook, brightly accented in pinks and purples and quilted to the hilt in gold metallics.
From the sounds of things it could all go terribly wrong next season with hoards of the public in leather trousers and giant volumous quilted pink puffa jackets.
Please remember that this is NOT the way to go.
NOONE gets away with leather trousers unless you're going to walk down a catwalk, fight off evil vampires or space robots!
Quilted doesn't mean housing estate and volume doesn't mean huge unflattering dresses that are more blobby than beauty.
Less is more, one trend at a time and if you wore it origionally it's probably best to leave to others!

A Fashionable Portrait

From the 15th Feb – 28th May The National Gallery is showing an exhibition called Face of Fashion.
It shows the work of 5 photographers who have made a large impact on the imagery within the fashion industry.
The photographers are:

Mario Sorrenti
Paolo Roversi
Steven Klein
Corinne Day
Mert Alas and Marcu Piggott

The show portrays the diversity of the fashion imagery that is now available.

You can find the exhibition within the Wolfson Gallery which opens from 10-6 every day.
On thursdays and fridays they have late opening till 9pm.
It costs £8 to get in and £6 if you're a concession.

There are some events in conjunction with the exhibition that sound interesting. My favourite is the two documentaries on the fashion industry on sun 22nd April £15.00.
Film: yves St Laurent and Runway.
